Dark Roast 6/6 Espresso, moka, pot, french pressNature can be at once harsh and softly whitewashed. In contrast, we created a soft, bitter dark coffee blend. It extracts most perfectly as a pan coffee over a campfire in the water of a mountain stream, but also reveals its character well in home espresso brews.
The coffee blend is the work of the Forest Roastery artisans. This coffee comes from the Bynemara family farm in Karnataka, India, whose rich soil and unique microclimate give it its distinctive oily and chocolatey aroma.
The refreshing and invigorating quality of this coffee is provided by a high quality trial batch of natural processed Robusta from the Dewadanam farm, which has up to twice the caffeine of the Arabica variety. Sometimes the imperfect aroma of Robusta combined with milky lattes or cappuchinos will bring the wisdom of imperfection to your coffee cup.
The coffee is roasted with self-sufficient solar and wind energy and shipped by Co2-certified sea transport. In Finland, the beans have travelled in a biofuel-powered vehicle. You can choose to have your coffee packaged in a 100% compostable coffee bag with a label created from hemp and sugar cane material, or in a printed recycled cardboard coffee bag. When ordering online, you can choose the grind suitable for your coffee equipment. Your coffee will keep fresh and taste best if you order your coffee as a bean and grind the coffee beans just before extraction.
